Hong Kong’s decoration with neon signs dates back almost 100 years, although their use grew from the 1950's as businesses vied for consumer attention on the increasingly crowded streets. Sadly, in recent years, many of the traditional glass-blown signs have been replaced with cheaper LED alternatives. Fortunately, this art-form can still be enjoyed in many places across the city, but for how much longer?
